WHO WE WORK WITH
Who We Work With
Students
Students are at the center of everything we do. We involve students in most areas of our work and are a world leader in involving students in quality assurance. Students participate in our assessment teams, are members of the IAABEP Council and advise us through our Student Advisory Board.
The goal of student involvement is to enable students to shape their own learning experiences and create excellent teaching and learning.
HOW CAN STUDENTS GET INVOLVED IN QUALITY ASSURANCE?
Each university or college is responsible for ensuring the quality and standards of its courses and that students achieve appropriate standards for the level at which they are studying, as set out in the International Accreditation Association for Business Education Programmes’ Quality Code for Higher Education.
We are responsible for checking that universities and colleges are meeting the required standards and continually improving them – this is what we mean by quality assurance. The reports we produce inform students and the wider public about whether a provider is meeting the expectations of the higher education sector.
Some of the ways in which students can be involved in quality assurance in higher education include
- being a representative of their course
- getting involved in your institution’s Students’ Union
- elected officers often include an education officer
- look for opportunities in IAABEP to become a student assessor or student member of our committees.
- Be a key student representative and participate in submitting student proposals, meeting with the evaluation team, and responding to evaluation results.
For further information on how to get involved, speak to your Students’ Union or ask your tutor.
Who We Work With
Universities
We partner with universities and colleges around the world that provide undergraduate programs to ensure the quality of the student experience.
Our vision is world-leading and independently provided higher education.
As an independent body charged with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in higher education, we aim to check that students who are pursuing a degree are getting the higher education experience to which they are entitled. We ensure that students are involved in all aspects of our work.
